Marine FC manager Kevin Lynch: new signings imminent

Kevin Lynch, Marine FC manager

MARINE manager Kevin Lynch has promised new signings are "imminent".

The Mariners have yet to make a move in this summer’s transfer market but Lynch says he is looking to wrap up two ‘significant’ signings by the end of the week.

A centre half and centre forward are set to arrive at the Arriva Stadium in the coming days and though the Whites’ new boss was unwilling to divulge names he insists once revealed they will be very familiar to the Marine supporters.

Lynch has pleaded with the faithful to show patience as the club’s pursuit of new players saying the wait for news is almost over.

He said: "The signings are imminent, all we need to do now is draw up the paper work.

"I would like to say to the fans, who are really passionate about the club, are feeling the good vibes around the place and want to hear something - me and the chairman are working very hard.

"The new signings are imminent. Hopefully we will have news by the end of the week, so watch this space.

"We have been searching for the right players, who share the same vision and ethos as us at the club. We are working hard and I know the fans can become frustrated at times, but just bare with us. It is a new era at the club and we want the supporters to get behind us.

"Both the centre half and centre forward are proven players. The centre forward is a proven goalscorer, quick and strong and I am sure the fans will be thrilled to see him.
