TEN-MAN Marine were soundly beaten by Guiseley at Nethermoor Park this afternoon.
Three goals inside 10 first-half minutes following the dismissal of defender Lee Williams sealed the Mariners' fate.
Despite a spirited display throughout the game, with a one player disadvantage, Kevin Lynch's men were always struggling.
Williams was ruled to have handled on then line in the 19th minute and was sent from the pitch, and to rub salt into Marine's wounds Anthony Lloyd sent goalkeeper Sean Lake the wrong way from the resultant penalty to open the scoring.
Prior to the sending off, Marine were the better side and Shaun Tuck saw his fine header saved at full stretch by Aaron Ratchford but, after being handed the lead, Guiseley were in unforgiving mood and on 25 minutes doubled their lead.
The powerful James Walshaw was sent free down the right to slide past Lake and four minutes later James Hanson was allowed a free header for the third.
The Mariners endeavoured to attack Guiseley where possible, the performances of Jamie Rainford and Shaun Judge boed well for next`season, but their's was an uphill task with reduced numbers.
In the final minute of stoppage time at the end of the second half Danny Ellis rose free to power in the fourth and final goal.
