Challenge Cup SEMI FINAL
Crosby Stuart ladies U13s 3 v Wigan 0
IN glorious sunshine Crosby played some great football but didn't have it all their own way; both teams saw plenty of the ball but Crosby scored through Symes. After a neat one two between Fitzpatrick and Symes, Crosby made it 2-0. After the break, Wigan came in to it more but Symes scored her third and finished the game off.
Final Score Crosby 3 v Wigan 0
UNDER 11s Ladies 4 v Litherland 0
The girls final league game of the season, with the runners up spot already you may have thought they may not approach the game as they did, but having lost to only one side this season they wanted to continue that run. They defended very well so well that the keeper Jess Brannon didnt have a save to make.Defenders Lynsey Richards and Hannah Callear played very well. Jasmine Forshaw and Shannon Grogan worked really hard in midfield while skipper Summer Smith asked all the questions of the Litherland defence and played a big part in the Hat trick achieved by Megan Howard, Lyndsey Richards hit the other. Crosby introduced 4 sustitutes Grace Morgan, Olivia Brunskill, Terri Ward and Chelsea Tithrington who all contributed well.
Frankie Meadows would like to congratulate the girls on yet another great season despite the dissapointment of not winning the League they were only 2 points off and still have a cup final in May to look forward to.
