Rangers had too much power for the Tigers

Forefield Rangers u-7s 8

Marina Sands Tigers 2

A SCINTILLATING display of football gave Rangers a 4-0 half-time lead.

Goals from Warren Jones and a hat-trick from Ryan Egerton ensured a happy half-time team talk.

The second-half brought plenty of the same against a plucky Marina side who never gave up. Further goals from MoM Ryan Egerton and a hat-trick from Jake Childs secured the win. There were outstanding displays from James Hickey, James Burke, Joe McWilliam, Jay Wright, Daniel Smith and keeper Michael Reed.

Forefield Scorpions u-8s 0

Netherton 1

THE result did not reflect the whole story and Forefield were disappointed not to get something from this game.

Gareth Clarke was solid in midfield and Dylan Smith excellent in defence.

Forefield Scorpions u-8s 1

Indenet Diamonds 1

FOREFIELD Scorpions took the lead through Owen Speers. Sean Alliston played well in goal and was unlucky to concede a late equaliser.

Forefield Red u-10s 1

Great Crosby Sharks 0

MoM Josh Neary was unlucky not to open the scoring when the goalkeeper tipped his effort over the bar.

Antoni Valori took his goal well when he rounded the keeper and Daniel Carmichael and Jonathon Matthews controlled the midfield.

Forefield Warriors u-11s 1

Redgate Rovers 4

FOREFIELD started really well but two quick goals gave Redgate the half-time lead.

After the interval Forefield pushed forward and were rewarded with a great goal from the in-form Thomas Billing. Again, two goals for Redgate were enough to secure victory. MoM was Bradley Rossiter.

Forefield Reds u-13s 2

Junior windmill 0

IN a tight first-half the anxious Reds tended to swipe at the ball when a simple lay-of would do.

After the interval they relaxed and began to take control. Jack Kelly settled nerves even more with a stunning free kick. Windmill now had to chase the game and the Reds capitalised through a James Beard strike. MoM was John Pollard.

Forefield Lions 3

Northern City 0

LIONS took the lead through Peter Donnelly, who went on to complete his hat-trick.

There were good displays from Steve Stoddern, Criag Otten, Scott Travers, Tom Foster and keeper Alex Edwards.
