THE outstanding first round ties of the Canon Francis Cup and the League Challenge cup were completed in the Crosby & District Sunday Football league last weekend.
In the Canon Francis Cup, The Laburnum won 4-1 against Brookfield with Anthony Rawlinson scoring two and one each for Steve Horan and Steve Kelly.
In the League Challenge Cup, holders The Brooke Harbour were beaten 3-0 by The Beaconsfield with goals from Steve Horan, Carl Burgess and an own goal.
On the league front, Oak Tree pub were awarded the game after Car & Commercial Bootle could not field a team.
Kirkstone move up to fourth in the division following a 2-0 win at Reunion, who they play this weekend in the second round of the Lal Evans Memorial Cup.
Lee Reynolds and Joe Morley scored the goals for Kirkstone.
