NORTHERN Crosby Racketball team were back to winning ways with a 5-0 victory against Village Mixed.

The 20-5 points victory was much needed ending a run of two straight defeats leaving them third in the table.

At one, Peter Stanton fought hard to return to winning ways coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Mixed's Jimmy Hough.

At two, Kevin Morrison eased past the hard-hitting Mike Flemming 3-0 to remain the only Northern Crosby player unbeaten for the entire season employing his usual dogged style.

An under the weather Ian Price played with a heavy cold at three to beat the Village Mixed's Mike Colier 3-1.

He almost slept through the match but was luckily woken by his son and made it just in time, coughing and spluttering to a win!

At four, Colin Rogers made it two wins in two games with a disciplined display of racketball showing good skills when getting on the tee beating Graham Pargeter. He now seems to have turned his form around after a poor start to the season.

The final score in the fourth rubber was 3-2.

Tony McClure played some excellent shots to claim his first win of the season at number five.

Tony beat Village Mixed player Terry Wilson 3-0 with a fine victory and completing the rout for the team.

It’s going to be hard now for Northern to claim their first title with only three games left of the season.
