Kyle scores hat-trick for Litherland Tigers

A SCRAPPY start from both sides saw little in the way chances created. But midway through the half Tigers’ midfield began to dominate and chances started to come. A well worked move down the right involving Luke and Tom found Kyle in space and a cool finish in the far corner for 1-0.

The second goal came after some great play between Luke and Kyle, found Luke on the edge of the box and a first time ball found Tom at the far post to sweep the ball home.

Luke then grabbed a goal his performance deserved, when after some neat foot work he fired a shot low into the corner.

The first half finished the same as it started with Kyle grabbing his second with a shot across the helpless keeper into the far corner after some neat play with Jack.

The second half saw several changes, and a move down the left saw Frankey find Sam who cut in past his marker and shoot, but the keeper could only parry into the path of the on rushing Will to slot home with his first touch to make it 5-0.

A short corner between Sam and Kyle, saw Sam whip in a great cross to pick out Tyler who had lost his man to sweep home a half volley for 6-0. Kyle completed the scoring with his hat-trick goal after some nice pressure from the team forced the Cougars to give the ball away on the edge of the area, shifting the ball onto his left foot and placing it high past the ‘keeper.
