Forefield Rangers U10s 9Burscough Juniors 4
ON a very heavy pitch, Forefield started the game like a team on a mission with some fantastic passing and movement.
Luke Stocks had an excellent game and controlled the midfield, linking up the defence and attack.
This enabled the whole team to create plenty of scoring chances and the boys went in at half-time six goals up without reply.
To their great credit, the Burscough players came back well in the second-half and made a great game of it but Forefield still managed to score three more goals and seal a very good win against their West Lancashire opponents.
The goal-scorers were Luke Heeson, Ben Dooley, Matty Graham and man-of-the-match Stocks – all grabbing two each – with Lewis Johnson also netting.
All the boys deserve a pat on the back for a superb effort in very muddy and tiring conditions.
Forefield Sharks U13s 1Salisbury 1
AFTER going a goal behind, the Sharks equalised through Liam Moran following a great run by Ben Weaver.
There were stand-out performances from Lewis Campbell in midfield and Tom Lenno at left-back.

DOMINIC SPENCE opened the scoring for Rangers, latching on to a through-ball and going around the keeper before stroking the ball home.
After cutting in from the right, Kieran Kelly was up-ended in the box and Jack Brierley tucked away the penalty for Forefield to go into the interval with a two-goal lead.
It was a much tighter game in the second-half but Rangers gave themselves some breathing space when Jonathan Furlong's free-kick was skilfully steered into the Chequer Lane net by Austin Cartwright.
Chequer Lane scored a consolation goal with a good header in the dying minutes.
There were good performances all over the pitch for Forefield with midfielder Jack Brierley and centre-back Paul Williams the pick of the bunch.
