Singers needed for ECHO carol concert at Liverpool Cathedral

THIS is your chance to launch the Christmas festivities in style – by joining Ken Dodd for the ECHO carol concert.

Also appearing will be Waterloo-based mezzo-soprano Danielle Thomas and three Merseyside choirs.

The concert, at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday December 21 at 7.30pm, will as usual be introduced by ECHO columnist and former veteran arts editor Joe Riley.

Ian Tracey will preside at the world-famous 10,000-pipe Willis organ, leading the massed choirs and audience of ECHO readers in some of the most famous carols ever written, including Hark The Herald Angels and O Come All Ye Faithful.

Joe said: “We have the best and most inspiring setting in the land for our carol celebrations.

“It is an opportunity for everyone to sing their hearts out and raise the roof in aid of the ECHO’s Liverpool Unites charity, which this year is supporting Alder Hey.”

Tickets are £10 (£7 concessions) with family tickets (for two adults and two concessions) priced at £25.

They are available from the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral shop by calling 0151-702 7255 or online at www.cathedralshop.com Tickets can also be bought on the door.

The concert will last approximately two-and-a-half hours, with refreshments available during the interval.
