GARDENING enthusiasts in Crosby have come top in the Sefton In Bloom Awards.
The Best Street award went to Sussex Street in Brighton-Le- Sands.
St Luke’s Church won the best school or community garden along with Grange Primary School in Netherton.
Winners in this year’s Sefton In Bloom Competition received special awards at the Southport Flower Show.
Community teamwork from residents of Sussex Street in producing an array of floral displays won over judges.
Blundellsands ward councillor Paula Parry, who was among those who nominated the street for the award, said: "It is always a pleasure to visit the residents of this street.
"There is a great sense of community pride, and I would like to congratulate them all on their success."
The hard work of St Luke’s Church volunteers has paid off with a win in the competition.
Its garden also achieved a Green Pennant, the highest national accolade for sites managed by voluntary and community groups.
