Jewellery stolen in Crosby

A ROLEX and two heavy gold chains were among thousands of pounds worth of jewellery stolen from a Crosby home.

Detectives have released these photographs of expensive jewellery snatched during a house burglary in Downhills Drive on July 31.

Burgalers broke in through a window at the back of the house between 9am and 10.15am while the owner was out, making off with a safe holding several thousand pounds worth of jewellery, and a valuable rug.

Police believe the offenders used a blue old-style Ford Escort during the incident and are appealing for anyone who saw a vehicle matching that description in the area or has been offered jewellery like the items pictured in suspicious circumstances to contact them at Copy Lane CID on 0151 777 3168.
