Fun at Freshfield Animal Rescue Centre open day

OVER £5,000 was raised at Freshfields Animal rescue Centre’s open day at the weekend.

Special guest John Parrot officially opened the day and around 750 people came through the doors.

Marge Albert who works at Freshfields said: “Everybody enjoyed themselves, the weather was hit and miss but this didn’t deter from the day. We had loads of rescue dogs taking part in the dog show and John Parrot was great talking to the crowd and posing for pictures.

“There was lots of stalls, bric-a-brac, a coconut shy. There were all sorts of things for everyone to do.

“We all had a great day and can’t wait for next year.”
