Councillor Debi Jones, who is the prospective Conservative MP for Sefton Central and is chairman of the steering group, said: “This is an opportunity for the people of Crosby to ask questions of Sefton Council because ultimately it is Sefton Council to a large extent who will decide what can and cannot happen in the centre of Crosby.”
The meeting will not be about Sainsbury’s plans but about the way Sefton Council can affect what is happening in the village.
Mr Wallis has written a report that will be submitted to Crosby Area Committee next week about the public exhibition held by Sainsbury’s. The report reveals that 1,500 people attended the event and the information is available at www.sainsbury’s-crosby-village.co.uk
