Glamour model Amanda Harrington opens new beauty salon

GLAMOUR model Amanda Harrington officially opened a glittering new business in Waterloo.

Businesswoman Claire Hart, has had The Little Boutique clothes shop in St Johns Road for just over two and a half years ago.

While some businesses are collapsing in the recession, Claire, 34, has bucked the trend and has now gone into partnership, opening a new salon over the road.

The salon Glam n Glitter was officially opened by Amanda, who gained WAG status when she was the girlfriend of footballer Joey Barton.

Guests attended the glitzy champagne-filled event on Saturday and to mark the opening, women were invited in for free “curly blows”.

Among the resident make-up artists are members of the couture team from ITV’s Dancing On Ice and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Claire, who grew up in Litherland and now lives in Waterloo, said: “We decided to open the business as we felt there was a market for a new funky boutique-style salon with a difference.
