Crosby actress Rachel Rae to appear in BBC Three sitcom

CROSBY actress Rachel Rae will appear in a new BBC television sitcom.

The 23-year-old, from Somerville Grove, has just finished filming the BBC Three series, Admin, in which she plays regular character Shelley Benson.

The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) graduate and former Sacred Heart pupil landed the role after performing the part of Hermia in the Liverpool Shakespeare Festival’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral’s St James’ Gardens last year.

The six-episode series of Admin was piloted in May last year and was based on the real-life experiences of writer David Isaac.

Sweet-looking Shelley looks innocent, but she is from a tough background and knows how to look after herself.

Shelley, 16, is described as “trouble waiting to happen”.

She is dizzy and is determined to get her own way in the office.

She is straight out of school and into a job she doesn't want along with Darrel, Kenny, Asif and Tania.

In the post room together they are looked down on by the solicitors they work for and try to get on by doing as little as possible.

A date has yet been fixed for the series’ screening.
