THE mother of a 15-year-old boy who was tortured to death in a crime that shocked the nation yesterday confronted one of his killers for the first time.
Liz Moss, 53, from Crosby, travelled to Wellingborough prison to see murderer Mark McKeefrey who killed her son Michael.
He is applying to leave the Category C facility in Northamptonshire and be moved to an open jail.
But the mum is taking part in a new Home Office scheme that allows victims to speak at offenders’ parole hearings.
Mrs Moss recently learnt of the full catalogue of injuries inflicted upon Michael on playing fields in Litherland in 1999.
Allan Bentley, McKeefrey and Graham Neary, then all 16, were jailed for life for the horrific murder.
It was branded the Reservoir Dogs killing after the teenagers tried to cut off Michael's ear with a broken bottle in an echo of chilling scenes from the movie.
