Heroin seized in a drugs raid on a home in Waterloo

A MAN appeared in court after 20 wraps of heroin were seized by police following a drugs raid on a house in Waterloo.

The Crosby Herald joined officers as they uncovered drugs at a property on Molyneux Road, which runs alongside thr recently-opened Tesco Express store, after a warrant was carried out by Crosby Neighbourhood Police.

Philip Shaw, 42, of Molyneux Road, was charged with possession and intent to supply Class A drugs and appeared at South Sefton Magistrates Court on Saturday.

The warrant was executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A further warrant was carried out under the act at a property on Corinthian Street, Seaforth. No drugs were found there.

The raids followed reports from the public about drug dealing in the Corinthian and Rawson Road areas of Seaforth. A team, led by Crosby Neighbourhood Inspector Neil Turner, carried out the raids at around 7.30am last Wednesday.
