MORE than 60 people of all ages gathered at St Luke’s Church, Great Crosby on Maunday Thursday to experience a dramatic presentation of the Easter story.
The story began in the church hall before moving around the entire church and grounds and ended back in the hall and included Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, his trial, crucifixion and resurrection.
At various points, visitors met actors, all members of local churches, playing the parts of characters from the first Easter and narrating the story to them.
Rev Canon Pete Spiers said: “We have found this to be a really good way of bringing the events of Easter to life so that people can actually feel as if they had been there.
“We received lots of positive feedback from those who attended. One lady commented on how it really brought the Easter story to life and one of the youngsters said it was excellent and they would come again next year!”
