Win tickets to Yes star Jon Anderson gig

JON Anderson, the voice of the classic rock band Yes, is coming to Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall, and we’re giving you the chance to win tickets.

The singer will play a one-off gig in the city on Sunday, August 2 as one of only four UK dates.

As the founding member of Yes, the highly acclaimed British rock band that have been producing music since their debut album ‘Yes’ in 1969, Anderson has enjoyed gold and platinum record success, sold millions upon millions of records, and led a group described as one of the best ‘touring bands’ ever.

During progressive rock's golden age, when they filled stadiums all over the world, Yes’s popularity was eclipsed only by Led Zeppelin; their 1972 opus Close to the Edge is considered the epitome of progressive rock!

Nicknamed ‘Napoleon’ by his band mates for his diminutive stature and leadership of the band, Anderson is recognised as the instigator of the series of epics produced by Yes, including Close to the Edge, Awaken, and The

Gates of Delirium.

The star achieved further success in Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe and has enjoyed numerous solo projects since.

He makes a welcome return to the live circuit after the cancellation of a world tour last year for an unmissable show at the Phil this summer.

Tickets for Jon Anderson’s show, ‘Have Guitar Will Travel’ on Sunday, August 2 are £20-£30. To book call the box office on 0151 709 3789 or order online at
